Textbooks donated through ASAC

The school has been around for 7 years now, but the premises and their resources have not been that good till several years back. In 2005, a Japanese widow donated USD30,000.00 to a fund to assist the building of this new school compound and several educational resources.

Even so, each class only has 5 textbooks shared amongst 30-60 students per class. There are but 6 levels in this primary school.

The teachers' textbook is wrapped in clear plastic and very well kept. The ones the students use, are also plastic wrapped and can be seen to be well used. A textbook costs just USD 1.25 each.

Back home, how much is it again that we spend on textbooks, assessment books, exam papers...?
